The Baltimore Orioles opened a series with the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee with a 3-2 win on this day in 1983.

Allan Ramirez notched his first win of the season with 5.0 innings of work in which he surrendered 5 hits and 1 earned run while walking 4 and striking out 1.  Tippy Martinez got the save with his 2.0 innings of 1 run and 3 hit relief.

Don Sutton (4-4) took the complete game loss for the Brewers.  He yielded the 3 runs on 6 hits while walking 5 and striking out 5.

Cal Ripken, Jr’s 3rd inning 3-run homerun, his 10th on the year, accounted for all the scoring the Orioles needed.  Ripken went 1 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI for the game.
