The Baltimore Orioles travelled to Boston’s Fenway Park and shut out the Boston Red Sox 3-0 on this day in 1983.

Storm Davis pitched a complete game 3-hitter in gaining his 4th win of the season.

Jerry Remy, Jim Rice and Glenn Hoffman were the only Red Sox batters to tally a hit off of Davis.

The Orioles managed 7 hits off of Red Sox starter Bruce Hurst, who pitched the complete game loss.  Ken Singleton and Benny Ayala each managed to have a multi-hit game and Gary Roenicke had the big blow with his 7th homerun in the 4th inning; he went 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for the game.

Talk about pace of play, the game took 1 hour and 59 minutes.
