On This Day In Baltimore Orioles’ History: 6/7/1983 #35thAnniversary

The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 6-4 on this day in 1983.  Dennis and Tippy Martinez teamed up in the win.

Dennis Martinez started and lasted 7.1 innings while giving up 4 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits with 4 strike outs for the win.  Tippy Martinez recorded the save with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Eddie Murray, Gary Roenicke, Benny Ayala and Rich Dauer all homered for the Birds. All told, the Orioles scored 6 runs on 10 hits in the game.

Mike Caldwell pitched 5.1 innings and took the loss for the Brewers.  Current Kansas City Royals manager, Ned Yost, was the lone bright spot offensively for the Brewers with his 7th inning homerun.
