The Minnesota Twins banged out a dozen hits in beating the Baltimore Orioles on this day in 1983.Ken Schrom won his third game and stayed undefeated by pitching 7 innings of 7-hit baseball.  The Orioles were swept during the brief, three-game home stand.

Kent Hrbek led the way for the Twins with a 2 for 5 day at the plate.  Additionally, Hrbek scored a run and knocked in four; he hit his 15th homerun of the season as well.

Dennis Martinez lasted just 1.2 innings and gave up six earned runs on six hits in recording his eighth loss of the year.

Lenn Sakata was the lone shining star on offense for the Orioles.  He went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.
