The Baltimore Orioles dropped a second consecutive game to the Minnesota Twins by a score of 6-1 on this day in 1983.  Bobby Castillo scattered six hit among four Orioles’ hitters in recording his second win of the season.  Castillo walked 4 and struck out six in the complete game victory.

Scott McGregor lasted six innings in getting his third loss of the season; he allowed eight hits while striking out four.

Al Bumbry and Aurelio Rodriguez were the only Birds to tally more than one hit in the game.

Dan Ford tallied the Orioles’ lone run in the first inning and then the team was shut down by Castillo for the rest of the contest.
