The Baltimore Orioles won their third consecutive game on this day in 1983.  The Orioles shutout the Chicago White Sox 1-0; it was the team’s second shutout of the Pale Hose in a row.

Storm Davis (7.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K) and Tippy Martinez (1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K) combined on the 4-hitter with Martinez getting the win, his second.  The pair combined to scatter the 4 hits among 16 White Sox batters.

Dan Ford provided all the offense the Orioles needed with his 8th inning homerun off of White Sox starter Richard Dotson who took the loss, his fourth of the year.
