The Baltimore Orioles lost to the California Angels 16-8 on this day in 1983.  Scott McGregor surrendered 7 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits and lasted just 4.0 innings.  He walked 3 Angels batters as well.

Ken Singleton (4 for 5, 1 2B, 2 runs, 2 RBI) and Leo Hernandez (2 for 5, 1 2B, 2 runs, 2 RBI) both came up big with their bats for the Birds.  Doug DeCinces hit 2 homeruns on the day for the Angels.

It was not a good day for Orioles’ relievers as Sammy Stewart, Tim Stoddard and Tippy Martinez all gave up runs to the Angels in relief of McGregor.
