On this day in 1983, the Baltimore Orioles bounced back to beat the Seattle Mariners 8-2.

Gaylord Perry lasted just 3.0 innings for the Mariners; he gave up 6 earned runs in the loss.

Storm Davis and Tippy Martinez combine to limit the Mariners to 6 hits total.  Davis went 5.1 innings and gave up 4 runs and 2 hits in getting his first win on the year.  Martinez was credited with the save by pitching 3.2 innings of scoreless baseball.

Ken Singleton homered and went 2 for 4 with a run scored and 3 RBI.  Al Bumbry, Dan Ford, Eddie Murray and John Lowenstein all had 2 hits in the game.
