The Baltimore Orioles drop one to the Seattle Mariners by a score of 6-2 on this day in 1983.

Ken Singleton and Leo Hernandez both go 2 for 4 for the game and each scored a run, the only runs scored on the day.  Singleton did hit a double.

Dennis Martinez falls to 1-5 on the season with the loss.  He gave up 3 runs (all earned) and 7 hits in 3.2 innings of work.  Martinez did fan 4 Mariners batters.

Bob Stoddard picks up the win for the Mariners by scattering 8 hits and 2 earned runs over 6.2 innings pitched.  Todd Cruz homered for the Mariners and was responsible for 4 RBI in the win.

The Orioles played 20 games in the month of April, 1983 and finished with an 11-9 record (0.550 Winning %).  The Orioles were in first place in the AL East by 0.5 games over both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Boston Red Sox.
