On This Day In Orioles History: 4/27/1983 #35thAnniversary


The Baltimore Orioles won their tenth game of the season as they shut out the Oakland Athletics 6-0 on this day in 1983 behind Mike Flanagan’s third win without a loss.  Flanagan pitched 5.0 innings and gave up just 4 hits.

Sammy Stewart got his first save with his 4.0 innings of two-hit baseball.  He struck out 3 A’s batters on the game.

Gary Roenicke led the offense with a 2 for 3 game with one run scored and 3 RBI.

Season Record: 10-8
