The Baltimore Orioles won their third consecutive game on this day in 1983 by beating Charlie Hough and the Texas Rangers 4-2 in Baltimore.

John Lowenstein was the offensive catalyst, going 2 for 3 with a homerun, a run scored and 2 RBI.  Leo Hernandez (1-4, 1 R, 1 RBI) also took Hough deep.

Storm Davis started the game and was relieved by Sammy Stewart after 5 innings.  Stewart, the game’s eventual winner, threw 4.0 innings of one-hit ball and struck out 4.

Jim Sundberg led the way for the Rangers with a 2 for 2 day and a run scored.
