The “Just One Fan’s” Prospect Report for 7/14/2017: Baysox & Keys Win on Road

 

Hello Orioles fans here is the daily prospect report for Friday, July 14th, 2017.

To Recap:  This season, I am highlighting four Baltimore Orioles minor league prospects.  These players are personal favorites of mine.  In an article for Baby Birdland, I explained the reasons why I am watching one of them.  The players are: RHP Jason Garcia (#21 per MLB Pipeline), RHP Jesus Liranzo (#14), OF Cedric Mullins (#17) and 3B Jomar Reyes (#9).  Each day here I will provide a summary of their game performance.

 

Jason Garcia (Bowie Baysox): won 5-4 @ Altoona Curve: did not pitch                                 Season stats: 20 games, 5-2, 2 Holds, 45.0 IP, 6.20 ERA, 1.89 WHIP, 33 R (31 ER), 60 H, 25 BB, 39 K, 4 HBP, .323 BA against

Jesus Liranzo (Bowie Baysox): won 5-4 @ Altoona Curve: did not pitch                             Season stats: 21 games, 1-3, 5 starts, 2 for 4 in saves, 3 holds, 5.35 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, 35.1 IP, 34 H, 22 R (21 ER), 2 HBP, 24 BB, 44 K, .250 BA against

Cedric Mullins (Bowie Baysox): won 5-4 @ Altoona Curve Off: currently on the 7-day DL (left hamstring)                                                                                                                           Season slash line: .318/ .356/ .543 with 35 runs scored, 13 2B, 1 3B, 8 HR, 24 RBI, 12 BB, 5 SB, 4 CS                                                                                                                                                     ** named Eastern League Player of the Week (4/6-4/16) **

Jomar Reyes (Frederick Keys): won 6-2 @ Buies Creek Astros: currently on the 7-day DL (right hand)                                                                                                                                             Season slash line: .321/ .361/ .436 with 6 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 10 RBI, 1 SB
